  1. Are we insured?

    Yes, we carry the highest rated insurance policy in Texas for residential movers.

  2. Do you have an extra fees that are not discussed on your flat rate/hourly rate quote sheet?

    No, We do not charge any sort of stair or walking fee. Our hourly rate also does not change once we get past 5 pm. The only charges you will see on move day are what has been previously discussed. The things that carry a special rate for us are pianos and gun safes.

  3. Where do you find the guys that will be on my move?

    Most of our guys have been with us for over a year. We use vets, guys that are waiting to leave for boot camp/basic training, college students, and guys we know and trust. We will never pick up a guy the morning of your move and put him on a crew. Our guys are background checked and trained on how to wrap/move your furniture safely.

  4. What forms of payment do you accept?

    Cash, Cashiers check, credit or debit card. We will offer a discount for cash payment.

  5. What happens if I need to file a claim?

    Most of the time if at all possible we will rectify the situation on move day. If you notice something has happened to an item after we have left you have 90 days to notify us and we will fix/pay to have the item fixed within 7 days.

  6. What is included in your pricing?

    Shrink wrap, Pad wrapping, Disassembly and Reassembly of furniture and utilities (as long as we do not have to remove/change cords), and placing of boxes and furniture in the correct rooms upon unload.

  7. Do you offer discounts?

    We do! We have a number of uniform discounts. (military, police, FD, nurses, doctors, EMT) If you feel like you may fit into one of these categories please let us know! We are also always adding to this list, so it never hurts to ask if you fit into any of our current offers!

  8. Do I need to empty my dressers?

    A lot of the time things such as dressers and desks will be put on their side in the truck to preserve room. If the things in the dressers will not damage the inside of the furniture when it is tipped on its side there is not need to empty them,we will shrink wrap them as is and carry them out. We do ask that you do not use your dressers or desks for packing purposes, those pieces are usually already heavy as is and for the safety of our guys we ask that you do not add any additional weight to them.

  9. Do you need to be present for packing, loading, and unloading?

    Someone that you trust needs to be able to sign paperwork at the beginning of each day of your move. If packing services are being provided then you may stay long enough to sign paperwork and then come and go as you wish. For loading and unloading someone needs to present to sign the initial paperwork and then at the end of the job to sign for delivery.

  10. Can I pay over the phone?

    If you are paying for a job you will not be present for we can take payment over the phone at the completion on the job.

  11. How will inclement weather affect my move?

    As long as it is safe for our guys on the day of your move we will continue with the planned date/time. If it becomes unsafe for the trucks to be on the road (Ice) then we will call and workout a solution to get you moved in a timely fashion. We have never come across a day where weather was bad enough for us to have to change a move date, we will do everything in our power to get you moved on the set and agreed upon date.

    As far as rain, we will continue load/unload as long as you are comfortable. If the customer decides they would like us to stop due to heavy rainfall then time does not stop, If you are on a flat rate move then a hourly rate will start and run until the customer allows us to begin again. We will do everything in our power to keep your belongings dry, everything will be covered before it is carried out and then it will then be wiped down once on the truck and again during unload when it is brought into the home.

  12. What can I expect if I book with Axe?

    When you book with Axe Moving you are getting the whole package; from start to finish. We are available 24/7 to answer any questions you may have pre-move. If something changes or a date needs to be moved we are always ready to work with you in getting everything moved around to fit your schedule. We pride ourselves on being on time, clean, and ready to work on move day. We will never ride the clock, or try to extend an hourly rate by not doing our best.

    We are transparent and will always keep you in the loop on what is going on. We realize that moving is stressful and the families that book with Axe are entrusting us with the majority of their lives in our big blue truck, we promise to move your things from point A to point B just like it was our own belongings in that truck. We will go above and beyond to make your move as smooth as possible and take care of you just as if you were a member of our family.
